I love these sorts of flights of fancy and the more probable geal better. I originally approached the book with the idea that even if the “history” was wonky, it will be entertaining to read. Not that I’m shocked by their more controversial conjectures, or find the ideas contained in this book as absurd, just that they do a grave misjustice to the readers trust in the way they present the information.
I thought this book sounded interesting, but after finding out the book is based on a lie and bad research I couldn’t even finish the book. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Canterbury University, Christchurch, and holds a master’s degree in esine and religious experience from the University of Kent in England.
Which says it all really. But generally, I didn’t find much of the “research” very compelling or well-supported, and too much of it smacked of tabloids.
These forged unnd mix valid history and elaborate hoax quite well; the outrageousness of some of the claims being the only sign that some tomfoolery is afoot. They say Jesus talked in allegories and then they take the literal meaning of what he said.

They take an approach of information overload and repetition, as though if they say something enough, it will begin to sound true. We now know that the authors of Holy Blood and Holy Grail were fooled by an elaborate hoax. With all that said, it unr for an entertaining read when you are stuck in bed with a cold and there are no other books within reach.

While “Holy Blood, Holy Grail” is nowhere as crazy, it’s got the same syndrome that its main thesis is not exactly very convincing but it’s still full of useful information on the Grail legend’s historical impact I first read it twenty or so years ago.

If you are researching – maybe. While I’m even more skeptical of the “official” story about Christianity’s beginings than before I read “Holy Blood, Holy Grail” I’m still far from convinced that there’s much truth to the alternative history that the authors have constructed. But this is a book which will check your ability to be open minded and I was.
I happen to believe there are conspiracies, just not this one. I find it hard to believe that a man as loving, and giving as Jesus is said to be, would not give his love also to a women. It’s was laughable how seriously the authors seemed to take their dead in the water premise.
I loved the premise. What do you believe? Selne book should be under fiction instead of religion, as the conspiracy put forth in it is so obviously a bunch of hookum that anyone who actually reads the book should be able to see that their sole source is playing them for reasons that never become clear.
