Please review your cart. There’s nothing of great moment about the actual plot of this book, aside from those emotional things, but Harper and Tolliver get dangerously embroiled anyway. Instead they find the body of a missing girl whose case they had worked previously without any luck.
It was a great light read, and am giving the novel a try as soon as possible! I love when an innocuous seeming character rubs their skills in people’s faces so the opening scenes set me in a great place with Harper showing the disbelieving Clyde her corpse mojo. I like the originality of the series and Harper and her brother as characters. Tolliver is equally interesting, but perhaps because we know so little about him.
Like I said, I had to read it on my computer, and I HATE reading stuff like that on my computer but with this novel it made me forget about that and I kept clicking on the sruprise anxious to see who the killer was. Though her early output consisted largely of ghost stories, by the time she hit college Rhodes, in Memphis Charlaine was writing poetry an Charlaine Harris has been a published novelist for over thirty-five years.
I havent read the written version of this novel, but charlainee read the Sookie Stackhouse series I knew this would be good.
The police are called in and Harper and Tolliver are bombarded with questions and even treated as suspects and frauds.

The idea of someone reading the last thoughts of dead people, of being able to help families of the some of the victims find closure and peace, solving murders, is fantastic. I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher, through Netgalley, in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed the surprie, the characters, and the story here and I’m hooked. I’m not familiar with the series, but these are interesting characters, and I wouldn’t mind reading more of their adventures. The panels weren’t too crowded with drawings, grve there were just enough characters to keep grabe story going and to not confuse surorise. Anyway, this series is shaping up to be pretty fun. The books, set in Shakespeare, Arkansas, feature a heroine who has survived a terrible attack and is learning to live with its consequences.
The Best Books of Not a bad book, but not quite as good as the first due to redundancy. Towards the end the plot felt a bit too rushed, and the way the story was wrapped up felt too abrupt, comparing to the slower pace of the rest of the novel.
Published January 3rd by Dynamite Entertainment first published December 27th There’s the college professor who invites Harper to demonstrate her talents so he can debunk her, and then there’s the mystery that arises when in the course of this demonstration Harper finds an extra body in a grave. I understand that it is difficult to transform text into drawings, but I would have wanted for some of their facial expressions to be more natural and to not look so strange.
I’m unsure if I would be willing to follow Harper and her ‘brother’ Tolliver into more adventures, and I especially find the shoehorned love interest subplot between the two very weird.

She determines that it is a young girl, Tabitha who had gone missing 2 years earlier in Nashville. The characters are a bit more stylized than I would prefer, rather than realistic.

Are there going to be any more in this series? What bothered me the most was the it was far to much attention on her thoughts, thought which sounded like you read a novel, and occupied too much of the page.
It seems a little much for the author to ask of us as readers, to be cool with lusting after the man that you grew up with as a stepbrother.
This review really doesn’t encapsulate how I feel about these charlaaine.
Grave Surprise by Charlaine Harris
Shakespeare’s Landlord, featuring Lily Bard. That’s okay because there were plenty of other things going on to make it an interesting read. Harris wrapped everything up that needed to be said in about two pages or so, which was very rushed and also just bad writing.
