I thought there was going to be some weird-ass love triangle.
But then comes the real kicker. She pushes everything and everyone jukia her away. He barely knew her and yet decided to be perfectly prepared to have sex with her. She expected the whole damn universe to revolve around her. Thankfully, the intense writing and topic made me really like it.
This is my opinion of this book. It does not matter the age, the feelings are the same, it is maturity that determines the actions that result. As much as I am against cutting, I could see where Willow was coming from.

It happens a lot. Willow was incredibly selfish and even if it was realistic, she was not a person I particularly cared about or wanted to spend time with.
The desperation of a person who needs to feel pain to be able to deal with emotional traumas is serious and this book brings that out and I think, gives the readers a better understanding as to why.
That was really disappointing for me because I heard so many good reviews on this book and it had been recommended to me by one of my friends, but I was let down when I actually got into it and started reading it.

Apr 08, Kaitlyn rated it liked it. At the age of 16 she was in a car accident that hoan her parents. Though Willow can barely stand the thought of emotional connections these days, she and Guy begin to talk, but when Guy learns her secret, he becomes convinced that she needs saving.
But, I suppose it is that way with anything.
Its as though she has forgotten how. I had one issue with Willow and that was the fact that she tended to think the worst before truly knowing someone’s thoughts, and at first I did not think that I would be able to connect with her or any of the others, but I found that the further I read the more I connected.
But it willoww a good book, no doubt about that. It is the story of a codependent relationship that sickly revolves and surfaces through self-harm issues.

It was a hard subject to write about, but Julia Hoban does it with such grace and elegance.

Apart from being a wonderful book, I jullia think that Willow has the potential to help girls who suffered from problems similar to the ones addressed in this novel. I just loved everything about it and know it will be one of those books I read again and again.

There was some truly remarkable writing at work in Willow. I really loved this book and the romance that was woven into Willows life when she really needed someone to talk to and someone who would listen to her without judgment.
